Helping Abused, Abandoned & Neglected Animals

I died about a week ago.  I did not know there was such a thing as death.  If I knew I would have died a lot sooner.  You see I lived out in the desert and was tied up with hay twine that was so short I could hardly move.  It had also wrapped around my leg several times and I could not stand up.  It was so hot again and I had no food or water.  It was just like all the other days.  I cried a lot but to no avail.  I did not know that my life as I knew it was about to change, I was about to die.

I remember hearing a sound.  I had heard this sound before but I could not remember where.  I remember nothing until I heard a very soft sound.  I could feel that I was being held tight.  I opened my eyes and I could see someone holding me.  If felt so good, and the voice kept talking to me and for the first time in my short life I felt safe.  They took me to a place I had never seen before.  I think it must be heaven.  There is green grass and water and best of all, food.  All I can eat.  I am not tied down.  I can run but I am scared.  I have never seen this world before, I think I must be dreaming.  Please God don’t let me wake up.

Everything is different but wonderful.  I have a bed and toys to play with.  I have breakfast and dinner, all the water I want and I run and play.  The soft voice and safe hands are always there for me when I need them.  Sometimes I have nightmares that hands and feet are coming at me to hit me and kick me.  They say I was sucking eggs but I was so hungary I could not help it.  The dreams are slowly fading away as I wake up each day in heaven.  I am safe and happy for the first time in my life.

The rescue of Casey was in June of 2005 and he lives with us to this day. Casey made us realize how many animals needed help so a group of family and friends formed The Casey Foundation for that purpose.  Not only has our efforts changed many lives of animals but ours as well.  The foundation has grown with the years along with the number of animals in our care.  We have wonderful pets up for adoption.  Please contact us for
information.  If you would like to donate in any way to help the rescue effort please do so.  We are in need of pet supplies (food, housing, kennels, etc.) along with funding for food and care.  Any supplies or funding you donate will be highly appreciated.  Our website is secure.  Thank you.
